As the dark descends over my head finally allowing the moon to peak through i feel the change take over me dragging me down so deep into myself that i must claw my way back to the surface of my conscious
I do not worry though because i have had years of practice batteling with the demon that lays in side of me
As the change comes to an end a foreign scent reaches my nose causing my fur to stand on end
another of my kind has approached my territory and from the smell not to long ago.
I take a pause letting the wind blow the scent deeper into my brain engraving it to it's memory
I follow the scent from the edge of my alleyway it heads west going down near the river it leads to the park
i follow the scent to a bench which sits just on the edge of the park allowing anyone who sits there to see it from every angle.
but here is where the human scent ends and the wild begins to surface
I follow it to the underbrush nearby this is where the change had started
Crap since the wolf had already changed it would be harder to track
I breath deeply and note that the smell has gone deeper into the woods of the park i continue to follow it
i find behind some dense bushes a wolf crouched down eating something that used to be an animal as i come closer her hackles rise she has scented me and now is up for the attack
She growls deep in her throat warning me that if i come any closer she will be forced to attack
I bow my head trying to say to her what i couldn't say in words that i meant her no harm but i kept my body raised proclaiming that i was the more dominant in the equation and that she best remember it
Her growls lowered into a hum saying that she was hesitant to believe this stranger but showing an understanding that she had no choice
At this point i approached her careful not to make any sudden movements as to not scare her off
I came up against her side scenting her as i came up behind her she sat down and preceded to growl a warning
i gestured with my head for her to follow me she agreed with a shake of her head and we were off
i took her back to my alley and gestured for her to lay down she did and i laid next to her sharing my warmth i didn't go to sleep until i was sure that her breath had evened out at that point i let the darkness of promised dreams take me

I like the descriptivenss of it. I like the way interaction in wolf and the inability of trust of another is displayed.
